First half of the freight to be paid upon signing the agreement but this should take place not later than two weeks prior to commencement of the rent. The last half of the fare is to be paid 5 days before the commencement of the freight. Additionally the cost of the delivery of the yacht to the place of charter (place of embarkation of passengers) and her returning should be covered.
The cost of freight consists of but not limited by following:
- rent of yacht
- crew service
- provision for crew
- fuel (in compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement)
Additional expenses, further on in the text of agreement called Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA): those are usually estimated as 20-40% of the cost of freight and shall be paid by employer not later than the charter actually commences.
Upon completion of the charter all the expenses born in the way of the trip shall be deducted from deposited APA according to the disbursement account presented by the captain. Unused amount will be returned to affreighter, the shortage however must be covered by hirer on the scene, once it happened.
Additionally shall be paid:
- fuel for the boat (in compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement depending on the en-route running time)
- provision and drinks for passengers
- ports and navigational fees (berthing fees, traffic control fees, locking fees)
- excursions and entertainment programs
- communication cost (telephone, internet)
- tender boats or other transport units hired for fishing or entertainment
- other consumables (e.g. utility and household supplies)
